I think my husband ate my finger

I have a poorly finger!  On Saturday I made my husband a sandwich and it was not until I did the washing up and it started to sting that I noticed I had chopped a bit of it off.  Whoops, I must  have cut it off when slicing the cheese! Feeling a bit bad I did tell him but he had already eaten it so there was not a lot we could do hee hee.

Anyway, it still hurts.  Why is it when you have a sore bit you knock it, catch it and generally bash it a million times a day?  Then each time it goes in water it stings a bit more.  I hope it heals soon because I am feeling quite sorry for myself!
